Martha Ankney, MAC, LPC
Martha received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has served as a Christian counselor since 2003 and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She desires to journey with others through their stories in order to bring hope, healing, and restoration. For over seven years, Martha worked with adults with severe mental illness, as well as with children and teens diagnosed with emotional and behavioral disorders. Her counseling interests include pre-marital and marital counseling, spouses of those who struggle with sexual addiction, abuse and trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, parenting, and women’s issues. She has completed 80 extra hours of training in trauma by the Global Trauma Recovery Institute, completed the Effective Trauma Care by the Allender Center, and is EMDR trained. She also provides supervision for new therapists working towards obtaining licensure. Martha enjoys playing piano and guitar, yoga, being active outdoors, and traveling. Greg DeNeal, MAC/GTS, LPC
Greg received his Master of Arts in Counseling and Master of Arts in General Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. For approximately ten years, Greg served in church leadership in the areas of teaching, preaching, and music ministry. He has spoken at local grief seminars and national conferences and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Greg desires to walk alongside those experiencing grief as a result of death, divorce, or trauma, and he also specializes in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Marty Lintvedt, MA, LPC, NCC, ACS
Marty received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University and has served as a Christian counselor for nearly 25 years. She is licensed and nationally certified, and holds a national certification as an approved clinical supervisor. A member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, Marty’s areas of specialization include marriage and family dynamics, survivors of abuse and trauma, bereavement, issues pertinent to professional church workers and their families, and military families. Marty holds certifications in Critical Incident Stress Management, Applied Suicide Intervention, and Post Traumatic Stress Therapy with Military Application. She has served as a consultant to local domestic violence ministries, a member of the LCMS World Relief and Human Care Domestic Violence Task Force, and the LCMS Southern Illinois District Ministerial Health Committee. Christy Brimm, MAC, LPC
Christy received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Missouri Baptist University and her Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary. Christy has training in both school and clinical settings. She is interested in offering gospel-centered counseling to youth and adults who find themselves in need of a safe place to find healing, wholeness, and deeper connections. She has gained extensive experience working with students, women, and families via her 20+years serving in the Church. Her ministry experience has come in the form of working in student ministry, leading a life group for young families, and through leadership in Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). Lindsay Turner, MA, PLPC
Lindsay received her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to St. Louis, Lindsay worked full time with a relational outreach ministry that focused primarily on adolescents (13-25 yrs old). She has had the opportunity to teach, speak, and lead groups as part of her ministry background. Lindsay’s 7 years of experience of serving youth and their families fostered a passion that led her to purse a counseling degree. With her training, she hopes to offer gospel-centered counseling to individuals in the midst of processing their story and life. Her interests include career counseling, reconciliation, transitional adjustment, and unpacking relational issues. Greg Milford, MAC, PLPC
Greg received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Mars Hills Graduate School (now named The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology) in 2006. He is passionate about the gift of marriage and desires to work with couples struggling with issues ranging from contempt, trust, and intimacy, to parenting and natural family planning. He is also eager to serve individuals in healing from sexual abuse, dysfunctional family relations, anxiety, and sexual addiction. Suzannah Sense, MAC, PLPC
Suzannah earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Before her pursuit of counseling, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications and worked in business for several years before realizing her calling to counseling. Out of her experience of moving multiple times and switching careers, Suzannah enjoys working with people going through life transitions. In addition, she is interested in working with people dealing with anxiety, processing past trauma, relational difficulties, family of origin issues, and those living outside their home culture. Suzannah desires to work with a wide range of people including adults, college students, and children. She finds joy in working with others to discover what it means to thrive. In her spare time Suzannah can be found reading, spending time with friends, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. Scott Thornhill, MAC, PLPC
Scott received is Masters of Art in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. His desire is to work with others towards healing in a variety of settings. His areas of focus include anxiety, depression, sexual addiction, grief, as well as a variety of sleep issues. He has worked with kids, teens, as well as adults of all ages. Alex Yousef, MAC, PLPC
Alex earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Missouri Baptist University. Alex’s creative approach appeals to a wide range of people, from teens to older adults seeking to grow and bring healing to the whole person. She enjoys working with older adults and families navigating grief and life challenges related to the aging process and the movements of family dynamics as they adapt to the challenges which come with age. Alex also has experience and a passion for working with men and women struggling with eating disorders. She spent time leading groups at an outpatient eating disorder facility. Nikki Peters, MAC, PLPC
Nikki received her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. For the past 12 years, Nikki has worked in various areas of ministry within the church, serving both teens and adults alike. Through her work with campus ministry, youth ministry, and engaging in mentoring relationships, Nikki has gained extensive experience aiding and caring for the people in her world. As a counselor at Kaleo, Nikki is deeply passionate about offering counseling to adults and youth looking for psychological healing and emotional peace. She also has an interest in partnering with those struggling with grief and loss, working through dysfunctional family issues, and battling anxiety. Carla Powderly, MAC, CIT
Carla received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Her life experience allows her to have a unique understanding and perspective that enables her to connect with clients from all walks of life. Carla is able to offer counseling in spanish and is passionate about helping people in the midst of grief, depression, anxiety, marriage issues, and family relationships. She delights in helping people discover the importance of their stories and guides them through the process of healing and renewal. She believes creativity is an integral component of the healing process. Carla enjoys reading, writing, camping, hiking, photography, and movies. She desires to partner with churches and other organizations and is available to speak at retreats and events. Ginnie Jones, Intern
Ginnie understands that counseling can be a scary and vulnerable place to be, and she is passionate about meeting people where they are. She enjoys working with couples, children, and teens. She is also eager to walk alongside those who are wrestling with family struggles, body image issues, and relational difficulties to where she can provide an environment of safety—so that those she sits with feel freedom to grow and explore their story.
